Task Force 5

The work of Task Force 5 focuses on finalised the Regional Business Operations Strategy (R-BOS) towards enhancing quality, efficiency and effectiveness of UN Regional Operations in Africa. The Regional Operations Management Team (R-OMT) played analytical and advisory roles in developing the R-BOS, coordinating with UNCTs and their Operations Management Teams (OMTs) in identifying programmatic needs and operations support. The R-BOS was signed off by the RCP Co-chair during the period making Africa among the first regions to meet this requirement. R-OMT provides oversight and quality assurance to OMTs of 37 African countries to complete the first BOS annual review in 2022. Country level BOS also reported massive quality improvement across 6 common service lines against their baseline data. Evidence of the cost avoidance of the BOS at Regional and Country levels could be found on UN Info BOS data monitoring platform: https://data.uninfo.org/Home/_BOSMonitoring.
