The coordination of the Africa RCP is under a Joint Secretariat, composed of the Development Coordination Office (DCO), the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), working in synergy with the Opportunity Issue-Based Coalitions (OIBCs) to promote joint action and to serve as the main vehicle for the substantive work of the Platform.
Our key focus is organized around the activities of the OIBCs, which are demand-driven and results-oriented, avoiding both siloed approaches and overlaps in working on sustainable development and the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and Agenda 2063 in Africa.
Our multi-annual work plans provide key insights into our focus areas, flagship initiatives, and expected achievements.
We monitor, capture, evaluate, and report on the inputs, outputs, and outcomes of the work programme of the Africa – RCP, and keep you informed on the progress in achieving the SDGs.
