OIBC 3 focuses on promoting the use of new technologies and digital solutions for transformational education, youth and women empowerment, and well-being. The Co-convenors of this coalition (UNESCO, UNFPA & ILO) are working with several UN agencies and partners in areas related to SDG 1, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9 & 10, and building a network of experts to connect and share knowledge in a Community of Practice (CoP).
OIBC 3 focuses on the use of new technologies and digital solutions for transformational education, Youth and Women empowerment, and well-being. This includes Improving access to school and quality health services through early learning and innovative financing for school health and nutrition programmes and creating the overall conditions for learners to lead healthy lives. The coalition is working with various partners to support countries to implement global standards for advancing health, nutrition, mental health, and the overall well-being of school-age children and adolescents, teachers, and other staff members.
It is equally working to develop and implement the African Union strategy on education for health and well-being and promoting knowledge sharing and dialogue across key stakeholders to accelerate ONE HEALTH, digital health Governance and improve financing. Its work plan includes supporting the formulation of youth and gender-responsive national policies; creating opportunities for youths to more actively contribute to policy development processes; supporting countries to review Health Management Information Systems and tools; and generating knowledge and evidence to fast track implementation of the 2030 agenda and advance progress towards Agenda 2063.
